Forgetting Sarah Marshall starring Jason Segel, Kristen Bell and Russell Brand has swept cinemagoers off their feet and claimed the top spot in this week's UK box office chart, according to new figures from Nielsen. The break-up comedy took over £2.14 million since opening in the UK to debut at number one, comfortably ahead of fellow new entry The Eye, a thriller starring Jessica Alba. Knocked Up writer/director Judd Apatow is to be named comedy person of the year - in a good way - at a new event coinciding with Montreal's Just For Laughs comedy festival, according to reports. The Forbidden Kingdom, the first film to bring together martial arts legends Jackie Chan and Jet Li, has topped the US box office on its opening weekend, according to new figures from Nielsen.
