A fantastic American comedy given a good old British boost with Russell Brand. Made by the guys from Knocked Up and Superbad, I knew this was going to be great - I wasn't disappointed. Fantastic film. Just see it!
Expecting great things when I saw Jason Segal (HIMYM) wrote this film, but I was still a bit concerned about 2 hours of Russell Brand playing...Russell Brand! Thankfully he wasn't and this film turned out to be THE movie of 2008 for me. Kristen Bell was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect choice as Sarah Marshall, Paul Rudd added his usual supporting comedy role but this time as a hot, stoned surfer dude, and Jason Segal was hiliarious and heartwarming, although warning to anyone taking their mother to see this film, he is naked. Alot. Really naked.
If you want one reason to watch this film make it the amazing genius play in the middle of the film. All I'm going to say is 'Psychiatrist', puppets, musical and Dracula. Genius! Undoubtably 5 stars.

I was dragged along to the cinema by a freind to watch this. Was so not looking forward to it as i HATE chick flicks!
BUT LET ME TELL YOU THIS!.........................
This is by no means is a chick flick! its a Laugh out Loud film which i thoroughly enjoyed.#
This is a sit back and watch kind of film. if you dont expect too much of it you will be plesantly suprised plus your will laugh your socks off. Lots of inuendos in this film ( i must have a dirty mind than most as quite often i found myself laughing at a comment which only myself and a few others picked up on) they come fast and furious so listen out)
I am a fan of Russell Brand but did not think he would be any good in a film - he was AMAZINGLY funny. All the other charactars are great too, from main to bit part roles, everyone adds to the film. It does end up having quite a good story line too - in the end.
I cant wait for this to come out on DVD and already added it to my list.
A real Laugh out Loud film. Not many 'funny' films actually do this anymore. A real Gem this one is. Worth a watch!

Over rated American TURD of a film
NAFF SAID
Having perhaps seen the previews and read the blog for this, you could be forgiven, like me,
in thinking this would be a simple chick flick com, bad boys girls get own back, girs live happily ever after romp. Not so, simple as this is, it has a bit of an edge over and above a run of the mill chick flick and aided by a very superbly intentionally hammy Russel Brand, this drags what could have been a samey US comedy into an altogether other realm, a completely funny and watchable love triangle (or quadrangle) that never goes far off being total entertainment, I really loved every minute, definately worth a watch.
Horrible gross-out comedy with absolutely no plot. AVOID!
Very strange characters in this film. The main character is a little creepy to say the least - someone who, if he spoke to you in the lift you would exit on the wrong floor just to get away.
The plot is rambling and the characters have minimal emotional reaction to anything. They have strange crossing-over relationships with one another, which by the end you think, what was the point in having relationship at all . My instinct is that the film tries to do something different about relationships but it only succeeds in being low-key and meaningless.
The highpoint is the lead character singing about seeing a psychiatrist and killing himself(that should give you a clue about the rest of the film!)
I thought this was utter rubbish, nudity sceens which were uncalled for and really not nice the guy needed to work out first before gettin naked on a film! Russell Brand can not act totally crap!
Not quite what I expected, but was pretty good. Left with a feeling of 'hmmm, that was ok, but not brilliant, but not sure why'. Still puzzled now! It's a very mild comedy (not the side splitting film I was expecting), but some great performances by the 4 main characters. Russell Brand was very good, Mila Kunis played so many facets of a mixed 'attractive' personality so well. It was believable, as was the story line. A little corny at times, but a nice edge of very dry humour. Worth a watch.
