  • Silly with no point.

    [Highly rated reviewer]

This film was very disappointing. I thought with a couple of big names it would have been good, but I was wrong.

I actually feel embarrassed for the actors because the story is so bad. Two couples who can't decide who they want to be with. So?

When I saw Jack Dee was in it I almost didn't watch it. He didn't let me down though, he was his usual, foul-mouthed self.

There were some great shots of London which was about the only good thing about the film. It is very anti-American and that's just not funny anymore, if it ever was.

Save yourself, don't rent this one.

  • How does rubbish like this ever get made?

Why oh why do great actors such as Colin Firth ever get involved in low budget, poorly scripted unrealistically shot nonsense such as this?

Very poor. I laughed exactly twice: Once in the bedroom scene where Colin Firth's character tries to smother his snorin wife with a pillow and once at Jack Dee's curmudgeounous reaction to trying to get to sleep in the hotel where the couple next door are making mad, passionate and excessively loud love!

I rented this film as Colin Firth is one of my favourite actors. I was disappointed with the storyline. This has to be the most unrealistic film I have ever met. I was surprised Colin Firth was even in this!

I did expect this to be a movie I would enjoy and I was not disappointed. Colin Firth was as usual brilliant. Althought the story is somewhat inevitable it still held my interest. Stephen Fry's small roll was fun and I could see his embarrassment as a couples relationship was unfolded before him. Watch it on a lazy afternoon and enjoy the excellent acting and scenes of London.

Good performance by all actors, attractive cinematography but rather too obvious story line with disappoiting ending. Glad I did not bother to see it in a cinema.
