    [Highly rated reviewer]

If like me you were wondering what a film about a family of foxes temporarily living as humans looking for human livers to permanently stay that way was like you have come to the right place.

It has something for everyone including musical numbers, circus performances, dancing (including breakdancing police), blood, murder, romance and even a cute little dog.

The film was based on a traditional Korean old wives tale of foxes that eat humans to stay alive called kumiho.

Don't be put off by the subtitles as it is extremely good to hear the songs sung in the correct language instead of being dubbed.

Some brilliant acting by all involved and a very comedic element running through.

All in all a very quirky, weird and wonderful South Korean film which should in my opinion become cult viewing.

  • Fun yet serious

I loved this film which was based on a Korean 'old wives tale'. The characters are fun yet serious and the story is easy to follow. Not a minute goes by without something happening to keep your attention and you can identify and believe in the characters. If you want to laugh and smile and be filled with wonder then try this film - you'll not be disappointed.

ok, so this film seems to have had good reviews before i came along, opps. i like musicals, Korean cinema and quirky films. This should have it all but i just didn't like it. I Didn't care for any of the characters and just waited for it to end incase it improved - it sadly lacked. It looks great and has lots on energy, but just another to tick off my list :(

This is really surreal and it works. A lovely little Fairy Tale / Horror Story. Works on most levels. Funny and interesting. Doubt if it could have been made in any other country.

Quirky comedy musical, not anything like Rocky Horror, more like Happiness of the Katakuras. The musical numbers aren't that strong but the rich OTT comedy makes up for it's short falls.
