These two episodes form the first and second in the second series of the drama set on the south coast of England during 1940.
'Fifty Ships' opens dramatically with a bombing raid, and as a result Sam is looking for somewhere to live. An American multi-millionaire working to get fifty US ships transferred to the British Navy is visiting Hastings during his visit to Britain. A dead body is discovered on a beach nearby.
In 'Among The Few', a lorry Foyle is chasing crashes and its illegal cargo of petrol bursts into flames. Sam persuades Foyle to let her go undercover at the local fuel depot to investigate.
Both episodes continue the sparkle of series one, and despite being entirely watchable as stand-alone stories, continue to develop the core characters.
