    Welcome to Mock The Week

I'm trapped between a rock and hard place.

I love Frankie Boyle, his comedy style is brilliant. I'm also a fan of Mock the Week, this is wherein the problem is found.

The show is unfortunately covered in his MtW material, to the point at which maybe 75% I'd already heard. Devilishly funny the first time round, but in the DVD it over-shadowed any new laughs.

If you have seen all or nearly all of Mock the Week, its probably not worth renting. If you haven't - its a must see

    obvious and rubbish

Frankie Boyle makes up for his lack of talent simply by using “risky” humour. If he put a bit more work into his jokes, he would not have to resort to making fun out of disabled people (for example). His jokes were short, cringe worthy and had obvious outcomes. I love stand up – especially when they say what no one else dares, but this just wasn’t funny. Lots of recycled jokes too. My advice, stick to mock the week and rent something else!

    Boyle 'surprised' by Slumdog romance

    • 07 Nov 2009

Danny Boyle was surprised to learn his Slumdog Millionaire stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto are dating - because he didn't notice any sparks between the pair on the movie set. The two actors met while filming the Oscar-winning picture, but spent months denying rumours of a real-life romance before finally going public with their relationship over the summer (09). And Boyle, who spent months directing the pair, admits he had no idea they would get together. He says, "I was a bit surprised at... Read more
