    [Highly rated reviewer]

    Terrible acting,

    Terribble storyline,

    Pointless sex scenes,

Very mildly funny if you can stay awake,

Must admit do did not get to the end of this film so who knows the last hour might be good!!!

  • Purely for the Trekkies

Whilst very witty and fairly well written and acted throughout it is a film purely for Trek fans and sci fi fans in general.

  • AMATEURISH NONSENSE

    Rated - 0.0 stars
By a customer from Manchester, England , 15 Jul 2007
This film looks like the work of film school graduates who managed (somehow) to get William Shatner roped into this abysmal mess. The two leading characters are annoying and continually talk about Star Trek and how great Bill Shatner is. Shatner is a legend no doubt about it, but you can't make a sustainable film from it. Bill even looks embarrased in his scenes, he's been in plenty of dreadful movies but it's rare indeed to see him look genuinely embarrassed. Avoid at all costs, watch something else, because you will be anyway after 30 minutes of this garbage.

  • great little movie

Well, I think I'm mostly alone in this, but speaking as a fan of literate quality science fiction - though I don't under any circumstances think myself a Trek fan - I find this a highly enjoyable, if light and frothy, spoof on both sf movies and fandom, playing a little like the meeting ground between Swingers and Spaced. Really, nowhere near as bad as some people here suggest.

  • Geek Fiesta!

    Rated - 5.0 stars

This was really the start of Shatner taking the piss out of Shatner (see All Bran ads for later efforts). This is really a vehicle for the great man himself - seen through the eyes of episode quoting Trekkies.

Best line comes when the Trekkies are in a bookshop and spy Shatner for the first time and go 'Dude, that's Shatner... and he's checking out porn!'

  • Admittedly not everyone's cup of tea.

    Rated - 5.0 stars

Started poorly but became good. Shatner pulls off a masterful piece of character acting to convincingly portray a fragile and damaged egotistical typecast has-been who remains strangely endearing.
