Apparently the original Norwegian version is very good. If that's true, then surely the blame for this being so dull and depressing has to be laid at the feet of Simon Pegg's shallow, turgid and lumpen script.
I'm sure Simon Pegg is a nice enough bloke, but he's a long way from being the comic genius the media has allowed him to believe he is.
I'm all for films that show the hideous way we treat our animals, but not if its at the expense of ill treating the audience, which this nasty little film seems to want to do at every opportunity.
