Freezer
Takashi Ishii directed this disturbing thriller about a woman, Chihiro, trying to escape the memory of being raped. Five years after the fact, she is a Tokyo professional engaged to one of her colleagues. On her way to leaving her past behind, the five men who raped her show up with a videotape of the rape and threatening to turn her life into a living hell. Enraged, Chihiro kills her five attackers and puts their bodies in her freezer. Though she has destroyed her past, Chihiro now faces a troubled and uncertain future as she deals with the aftermath of her grisly murders.

Although its cult reputation rests on the fact that a respectable woman keeps the victims of her vengeful killings in huge chest freezers in her apartment, Takashi Ishii's chiller proves much more intriguing on a psychological than a visceral level. Having attempted to rebuild her life following a videotaped rape, Harumi Inoue's pitiless dispatching of the three perpetrators is presented as an agonised struggle between her repugnance at her actions and the need to end her nightmare. Consequently, the deaths are shown in all their cruelty to reflect her pain, terror and desperation, which makes them all the more disturbing.

Revenge has never been so cool
The trouble with revenge movies is that's all they are. We see why they want revenge, we see them get revenge, and thats it.
Well, the bad revenge movies are like that anyway.
The good ones dig deep in to the subconscious, not only of the protagonists mind but of the viewer's aswell. This film will disturb you. But you wont want to look away until the credits roll.
Pushed to the limits of despair, Chirhiro resorts to some pretty chilling acts as she fights to overcome the demons haunting her mind and the world she lives in.
You will probably never see a more beautiful revenge movie than this - it's final act putting you off microwaved meals for life. -
