  A Nightmare On Elm Street, the horror franchise that spawned dream-haunting, bladed-glove-toting serial killer Freddie Krueger, is set to receive the remake treatment, according to reports in Hollywood. Industry bible Variety reports that New Line, who were behind the 1984 original, have appointed Platinum Dunes to handle Freddie's makeover.   Cruise thriller Valkyrie pushed back

  World War II thriller Valkyrie starring Tom Cruise, Kenneth Brannagh and Bill Nighy, has seen its 2008 release date scrubbed to allow director Bryan Singer to finish shooting, reports say. Originally due to hit screens in October, the film - which tells the story of an assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler by a band of renegade German army officers - will now not see daylight until February 2009, according to Digital Spy.
