Double bill of festive animated musical adventures with Frosty the Snowman. In 'Frosty the Snowman' (1969), Karen and her friends are having a Christmas Eve party when they discover that their snowman, Frosty, has come magically to life. But will they be able to save Frosty from the sunshine and escape the clutches of the evil Professor Hinckle, who wants to steal Frosty's magical hat? John Goodman is the voice of Frosty in the sequel, 'Frosty Returns' (1992). A power-hungry tycoon invents Summer Wheeze, a spray can that instantly removes snow. Frosty's friend Holly is determined to save him - and has to convince the people of Beansboro that snow is a good thing, otherwise Christmas will be changed forever and Frosty will disappear.

Christmas is nearly upon us and for me Frosty the Snowman is a must watch at this time of year. Yeah so the animation is poor (Rankin/Bass production so what do you excpect?), but its really for kids & I've never heard them complain about that, I mean, they watch Pokemon so there used to it.

The flick would have earned a higher star rating if it wasn't for the second feature. Frosty the Snowman Returns is quite terrible compared to the first. Packaged seperately you could almost stand it but after watching the first you can't shake the fact that its just a cheaply, quickly put together attempt to cash in on the others success.

All in all though I'd highly recommend a viewing, especially if you have younger children. Or your just a big kid yourself.

Not as good as i remember from childhood,but great for younger children,although very short(25 mins.)1 star for adults-4 stars for kids,second cartoon being utter rubbish.I must throw away those rose tinted spectacles!
