The action anime series 'Full Metal Alchemist' explores epic themes of hubris, personal transformation, and spiritual quests through the tragic story of two grievously wounded siblings. While attempting to resurrect their dead mother through the forbidden art of alchemy, brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric suffer a terrible accident that severs two of Edward's limbs and traps Alphonse within a suit of armour. In a desperate bid at healing their injuries, Eric joins the state army with the hope that his travels will help him discover the fabled Philosopher's Stone, a mythic artefact with the power to restore life. The series of 'Full Metal Alchemist' chronicles the brothers' dangerous journeys through an innovative blend of action, science fiction, and drama. In this volume Ed and Al re-encounter their childhood Alchemy teacher Izumi, who is mortified that they have been using alchemy to contravene the laws of nature. They are sent away for a grilling. In the meantime Hughes is at risk when Lieutenant Colonel Hughes uncovers military corruption and conspiracy that could topple the entire national government during his search of Lab Five.

Not all that much happens in these 4 episodes. The Elrich brothers learn some important lessons off their old mentor whilst their blonde girlfriend from back home realises their appreciation for what she does for them. The army have secrets to hide whilst certain members futures take a drastic turn!! Not a whole lot of alchemy goes down which is a disappointing return from 4 episodes but this still remains a great series.
This DVD follows on the story of the two Elric brothers with another bunch of episodes. I did not watch the special features, so I can't comment on those, but the main feature was pretty good. Although the storyline in these episodes are mainly fillers, there are some VERY important turn of events (so I shant say more!!)
All in all, just more of the same Full Metal Alchemist, if you have watched and liked the first six discs, you should like this one too!!
