This is the first outing for writer Rhys Thomas, best know for his role as Swiss Tony's junior in the fast show. based around a family of Welsh undertakers,this funny and often surreal comedy never really got the main stream break it deserved. Starting when Rhys's character Percy escapes from prison one week before his release after serving time for taking the cadavers on a musical tour 'the chapel of rest 2004 tour' it gets funnier with each episode. With a cast that is almost a whos who of current comedy includes cameo appearances from the Fast Show luminaries, Matt Lucas and David Walliams, Phil Cornwell and other comedy 'faces' as well as stars such as Brian Blessed, Bill Oddie. For anyone looking for an 'off the wall' comedy, this is worth a look
