Great Movie! Funny and fluffy with Carry again...

Jim Carry can almost make every film he is in a pleasure to watch, just because he is in it and his face is just absolutly fabulous! He is excellent in this film with his usuall comic reactions and outstanding preformance. Téa Leoni also plays a great part.

This is a great movie if you want a nice night out to the cinema or even a quiet night in when its out for rental. Funny, sweet and brings out a lovely point. Enjoy

A great way to spend an afternoon...

Some of the reviews for this film are harsh in my opinion. I saw this at the cinema recently and I loved it. I only regret not taking my 9 year old daughter because she would have thoroughly enjoyed it. Carrey and Leoni are excellent in this, he's not as annoying or silly as he usually is and she is a great supporting actress, loved the disguises they came up with.

I found this movie original and fun and I would definitely recommend it as one for all the family.

    Very disappointing

Very disappointed after seeing this film because the trailed looked really funny. It's only after you've watched the film that you realise all the funny parts were in the trailer. Eight year olds might find this film funny but for grown-up's it's totally unoriginal, predictable and not in the slightest bit comedic. Carrey was very irritating...

    Well worth watching!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this film! But I really did enjoy it! It's such an unlikely story its funny. Nothing predictable at all. Definately several laughs in it, and great ending :D

So just take a chance and rent it!

... But Not With Jim and Tea

This was a good idea ruined in the execution. The main problem is Jim Carrey who ranks highly alongside Robin Williams in the 'most annoying actor' category. His completely OTT performance ruins what could have been a great piece of characterisation as the downtrodden Dick Harper. Tea Leoni, as his wife (on the other hand) is far too bland to match Carrey's 'exuberance' and the pairing just doesn't work. Only Alec Baldwin comes out smelling of roses as the oily Jack McAllister with a particularly fine cameo in 'comedic menace'. There are some funny moments, but only some. If this film was trying to copy the screwball comedies of the 50s/60s, it failed miserably.

Not as much fun as they wanted us to have

I'd hoped this would be Mr & Mrs Bruce Smith Almighty. It sort of was, but just wasn't as good as either of those. (No Brad, no Jen, figures really.)

It's got its moments. Jim & Tea in balaclavas wearing voice alteration mics was pretty funny, and a few other scenes, but not enough else.

As another reviewer said, most of the best bits were in the trailer.

    A lighthearted comedy

I enjoyed this film, Jim Carrey didn't act the goat too much in this film but gave plenty of laughs. worth renting and watching.

One of the better Jim Carey films...

OK, OK, so the ending is predictable, but it's great fun. A poke in the eye for and response to all the US corporate scandles of recent years. Surrounding Jim's rise to the top in the world of PR and the crash the same day of the business he works for, we follow him as he tries to keep his family in the house to which they've become accustomed. Even he has been able to make armed robbery funny. A great 'date' movie. Harmless fun!

    fun but nothing special

This is a quite a fun movie although don't expect too much and you won't be dissapointed. Unfortunately this title is protected by Sony ARccOS protection and wouldn't play on my standalone player because it does not adhere to DVD standards.

    Loved it

I really enjoyed this feel good flick and could relate to the desparation of the characters, particularly Dick's feeling of being screwed over despite keeping yourself legit. It always seems to be the ruthless that win in the end. What the hell happened to karma?
