Dick (Jim Carrey) and Jane (Tea Leoni) are a typical suburban couple. They have a nice house in a development, she works as a travel agent to supplement his white-collar income, and their son's first language is Spanish thanks to spending so much time with nanny Blanca (Gloria Garayua). Things change in the blink of an eye when .. Read more

To be applauded for its topical twist.... A good-natured piece.
Jim Carry can almost make every film he is in a pleasure to watch, just because he is in it and his face is just absolutly fabulous! He is excellent in this film with his usuall comic reactions and outstanding preformance. Téa Leoni also plays a great part.
This is a great movie if you want a nice night out to the cinema or even a quiet night in when its out for rental. Funny, sweet and brings out a lovely point. Enjoy
Some of the reviews for this film are harsh in my opinion. I saw this at the cinema recently and I loved it. I only regret not taking my 9 year old daughter because she would have thoroughly enjoyed it. Carrey and Leoni are excellent in this, he's not as annoying or silly as he usually is and she is a great supporting actress, loved the disguises they came up with.
I found this movie original and fun and I would definitely recommend it as one for all the family.
Very disappointed after seeing this film because the trailed looked really funny. It's only after you've watched the film that you realise all the funny parts were in the trailer. Eight year olds might find this film funny but for grown-up's it's totally unoriginal, predictable and not in the slightest bit comedic. Carrey was very irritating...
This film explains why British comedy is the best in the world. It tried hard to be mediocre and exceeded all expectations. Jim Carrie has gone way down in my estimation after this waste of time and money.
...a bit of fun with dick and jane, has its moments but thats about it really.....good build up, starts off promising enough but seems to slip away at the end....still worth a watch

I'd hoped this would be Mr & Mrs Bruce Smith Almighty. It sort of was, but just wasn't as good as either of those. (No Brad, no Jen, figures really.)
It's got its moments. Jim & Tea in balaclavas wearing voice alteration mics was pretty funny, and a few other scenes, but not enough else.
As another reviewer said, most of the best bits were in the trailer.
I enjoyed this film, Jim Carrey didn't act the goat too much in this film but gave plenty of laughs. worth renting and watching.
OK, OK, so the ending is predictable, but it's great fun. A poke in the eye for and response to all the US corporate scandles of recent years. Surrounding Jim's rise to the top in the world of PR and the crash the same day of the business he works for, we follow him as he tries to keep his family in the house to which they've become accustomed. Even he has been able to make armed robbery funny. A great 'date' movie. Harmless fun!
This is a quite a fun movie although don't expect too much and you won't be dissapointed. Unfortunately this title is protected by Sony ARccOS protection and wouldn't play on my standalone player because it does not adhere to DVD standards.
Funny if predictable. Easy watching. Good for a weeknight.
not very great at all . think i only laughed once, when he wakes up in bed absolutely minging,i kinda chuckled, not total bobbins but not great either
I really enjoyed this feel good flick and could relate to the desparation of the characters, particularly Dick's feeling of being screwed over despite keeping yourself legit. It always seems to be the ruthless that win in the end. What the hell happened to karma?
