Victorious and successful
By Thander Easton from London, England , 26 Apr 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
A sequel to Funny Girl, chronicling Fanny Brice's later years and her marriage to showman Billy Rose. Songs dramatically performed. Another triumph for Barbra Streisand.- Was this review helpful to you?

Babs at her best
By Ares (1 review) from London , 06 Mar 2008Barbara Streisand always strikes a chord playing the lost love heroine.. what she does best! Plenty of good well written pieces and excellently executed together with Omar Sharif. Streisand looks beautiul, a real starlet and certainly makes this her own and leaves a lasting impression. If youre a fan of BS- watch it.. If you enjoy films with singing..watch it.. Watch it on a Sunday afternoon type film, snuggled on the sofa.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not quite so funny as Funny Girl
By a customer from New Forest, England , 24 Oct 2007This shows the next stage in Fanny's life when she meets Billy Rose, her second husband. The show biz world is less lucrative and it is harder to get the parts. Billy puts on his own production for Fanny to star in, but it is a little cringy when everything falls apart on stage! Barbra Streisand is brilliant in the film, but the film is just not quite as good as Funny Girl. If you are a Barbra fan, it is well worth watching though.- Was this review helpful to you?

Sequels should sometimes never be made
By a customer from Renfrewshire, Scotland , 28 Apr 2005This sequel to Funny Girl, has some good songs, (mind you with Barbra Streisand in the lead you would expect that), however it is not a patch on 'Funny Girl', and it probably would have been better if this film had not been made, although Streisand apparently was under contract to make it. The ending of 'Funny Girl' was superb and left you in tears, it's a shame that is not where the story ended.- Was this review helpful to you?
