Further Up The Creek review

A sequel to the very successful 'Up the Creek', 'Further up the Creek' has an all-star 1950s British comedy cast, an effective script and a storyline that is sufficiently unpredictable to keep viewers interested. Frankie Howerd is very funny as the Bosun on the make, well supported by his scheming crew. David Tomlinson wins our sympathy and our groans as the accident-prone and gullible captain. Shirley Eaton is on good form, while the younger generation may be surprised to see Thora Hird as she was before she became the face of BBC's 'Songs of Praise'. This family thought that this film was much better than 'Watch your Stern'. Recommended to raise a laugh in the long dark winter evenings.
