bruce lee made some of this film before going off to make Enter The Dragon. When that film was finished, he planned to go back to completing Game of Death. But sadly he died.
I cant help but feel that if Bruce finished this film, it would have been his crowning glory.
Although the film was finally completed sum 8 years later by the director of enter the dragon using a double of lee, it is such a mess that it is only worth watching for the bruce lee footage alone.
Disc 2 has a lot of extras but the one peice that stands out is the unedited 40 min fight sequence. It is totally brilliant, with lee facing off against a 7 foot tall actor.
Get this and think what would have been....
Moviemaker Abel Ferrara has quit Wesley Snipes' new action film to concentrate on Forest Whitaker and 50 Cent's new movie Jekyll & Hyde. Ferrara was due to direct Snipes and Death Proof star Zoe Bell in Game of Death, but, according to MovieHole.net, he has been replaced by Giorgio Serafini. In the film, Snipes and Bell team up to defend an injured diplomat who is hospitalised after an assassination attempt. It's currently shooting in Detroit, Michigan. Read more
