Disappointing and dated

I was disappointed that there was not more emphasis on Gandhi's origins and upbringing. The documentary also seemed very much focused on a British colonial view, which openly bemoaned the demise of the empire in places. I felt at times that it was unduly praising the British colonial practices. The documentary felt, sounded and looked like it belonged to the 1950's.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 20 Jan 2013I stopped this DVD as I could not follow it. It seems that you need to have a knowledge of Gandhi to be able to watch this documentary otherwise you won't be able to follow it. It uses old filmed scenes to make up the film with a narrator over the top. Not my kind of documentary! I would not recommended- Was this review helpful to you?
