Worth watching????
By Jonathan Turner from Redditch England , 12 Mar 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Definitely not Coppola's best work. Set at a military funeral camp during the vitnam conflict we track a group of soilders, there lives and different opinions on the war.
The film really doesn't have anything new to say, and it is a little formulistic and sentimental. However it is well directed with a top cast and some well needed humor (James Earl Jones getting most of the best lines).
Entaintaing enough and just about keeps your interest for 1.40 hours. Life will go on if you don't watch this film though!!- Was this review helpful to you?

(2)Vietnam movie without Vietnam
By remotes from Leicestershire , 13 Dec 2004This would not even merit being a mid afternooon soap opera. Coppola obviously used up his Vietnam creativity in 'Apocalypse Now'.
It has nothing to say and says it very poorly.- Was this review helpful to you?
