    Don't bother

An interesting idea lumbered with a cast without the talent to pull it off. It may have worked if it had been played a little straighter but, as it is, it flies wide of the mark.

Takes me to a very Darkplace!

Garth Merenghi's Darkplace is a classic!

More terrifying than episode of GMTV,

more disturbing that someone appearing on Hollyoaks who can act, this innovative and truely shocking series posits the chilling question - What if Stephen King had been born a cockney wideboy with no talent whatsoever and had decided to produce a TV show ??? Taking a grand swipe at everything from Kolchak, to The Kingdom, the 1980's (what was that about?),Cheesy hospital dramas, giant mutant eyeballs, and of course Mockney men who wear medallions, Darkplace is that rarest of things - a satire that actually hits its targets!

    Superb

A fantastic series that slipped under the radar. So bad it's good.

It really takes skill to make something this bad and believable.

    A Big Thumbs Up!

    Cheesy but funny!!

If you like spoof movies like naked gun and airplane then you'll love this, its very silly humour so if you are a grown up who acts like one then you wont enjoy this, its bad acting at its best, cheesy lines, bad hair and why do all the doctors have guns??? Great fun if you're felling fed up put this on.

    Disappointing

A great idea but lacks the mileage to work beyond one half hour episode - would be better as a five minute skit in the context of a comedy show in the vein of The Fast Show. As it is, it soon feel stale and repetitive, despite a cast with great credentials and imaginative ideas.

    "I'm Dr Sanchez you're a Woman"...

As a writer Garth Marenghi doesn't expect much... just to change your view on the world!

The funniest TV series since ..... sliced bread.

Darkplace Hospital situated over a medium sized hell mouth in Romford - A situation that could have been avoided if Dr Rick Dagless MD had not gone to get those cola floats!!!

    Customer Review

oh dear the less said about this the better. The IT Crowd and the Mighty Boosh are surreal and hilarious, but this is just utter in-joke rubbish for geeky 80s throwbacks. I know it's a spoof, but you can't make a whole series that is this self-conscious.

    Brilliant

Like a who's who of modern comedy. Really good, but i'm glad they left it there. Make sure you check out 'Big Train'!

    Magisterially Terrible

Berated by friends and colleagues and possibly rightly so but I cant help going back for more. The same joke six times over really but at least it was funny each time. Dean Learner is a legend and Dagless' pregnant pauses must be seen to be believed. Not really for the passing observer. A riot !
