Just as great

Tears and laughs aplenty in the second series of the award winning series of Gavin and Stacey.

It starts off with Stacey living in Essex in Gavin's mum's house, but life is far from being simple and settled now the pair are married, and you can expect to smile and even shed a tear throughout these fantastic episodes. The final episode of the series made me cry!

I won't say any more as I don't want to spoil it, but if you enjoyed the first series and missed this on BBC3, make sure to rent this. If you've not seen either, rent it if you like a good comedy with heartwarming moments.

The boys.

Excellent characters. Gavin a Essex boy with his best mate Smithy ( who is forever competing for Gavin’s love and affection and the constant assurance that he is top of Gavin’s priority’s ) though not gay his need for Gavin’s attention is hilarious at times. Smithy will do almost anything for his best mate Gavin. ( and he does ). The pair share each others lives days and everything the world has to offer them. Its almost a marriage.

The girls.

Stacey lives in Wales with her family and best mate Vanessa ( Nessa ) Stacey loves Wales with a passion and nowhere on gods green earth is more beautiful than her home town of Barry island. She loves Gavin so much but finds it so hard living in Essex and she needs Nessa for most things in life. Advice and wisdom are Nessa’s thing. She has a dark past and has been in some very unusual places around the world. Worked for some major bands and groups and had affairs with many high profile people. Her wisdom and advice is handed out regularly and her one-liners are superb.

The mix.

Two family’s.

Two sets of best friends.

Essex V’s Wales.

Exocentric parents.

Extended family ( secrets hidden away )

And Gavin’s best mate Smithy always having sex with Stacey’s best mate Nessa who he freely calls ‘it’ and ‘that thing’ and ’what her’ so why does her constantly drop his trousers.??

Stacey’s best mate Nessa is as bad as Smithy!! What is the attraction.? Why is she having sex with the bloke she dislikes.

This is very easy on the eye. So funny it will have you rewinding to watch scenes again. Easy to follow. Uncomplicated and unpredictable. If you have never watched it. Do it now.!

Gavin + Smithy + Stacey + Nessa = some of the best comedy I have seen since Green Wing. Add to the mix the family’s. and it is a riot of laughter.

Series One. Was superb.

Series Two was even better.!!

I am looking forward to Series Three……….bring it on!!

What’s Occurring

If you missed this on TV rent this,set aside a couple of hours and watch the complete series back to back but be prepared to have sore sides and the neighbours complaining because of the laughter.

Jame Cordens 1 liners are worth the rental alone.

Brilliant

I love this series, it is so random and clever, it is brilliant. My particular favorite is Ness. Definitely recommended.
