Classic arcade fans, prepare for re-entry as one of the best-loved shooters from 'ye days of olde' returns and releases on Nintendo DS in early 2008. Geometry Wars Galaxies for the noughties adds a Campaign mode to the original blueprint, along with new multiplayer modes. Geometry Wars Galaxies' new mission-based campaign enables players to embark on action-packed quests across the galaxy, defending solar systems one by one, and beating off waves of alien enemies on instantly recognisable (to GM veterans at least) and brand new, never-seen-before Battle Grids. The control system has been optimised for the DS, enabling players to use the stylus and touchscreen to execute moves the likes of which have to be seen to be believed. Play modes include Single Player Campaign, in which you can unlock medals and planets and make further progress in the game. Retro Evolved mode enables you to take on the classic Geometry Wars infinite shooter. There is also a multiplayer option in the original and Evolved modes, the former including Versus, Co-op and Simultaneous options Owners of both the Wii and DS versions of Geometry Wars Galaxies can also download the full version of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved via GameShare and unlock bonus content.

Wow! this was real let down.

I think i had better games on my Spectrum 48k many years a go.

As you can see from the reviews, people either love this game or hate it. Personally, I loved it because I love old school shooty games which is exactly what this is.

It's a simple, non nonsense shooty game. Good fun.

arcade shoot up game. I knew what I was getting but even still it fell well below anything to get exited about. There's much better on wii believe me..........

Geometry Wars Wii

It's Simple, Utterly addictive, fast paced and a treat to look at. I loved this game and went straight out and bought my own copy.

If non-stop action and games that require blistering hand eye co-ordination are your thing, then you must own this.

Theres enough to keep you coming back for ages.

this is a great game if your into arcade shooters, fun to play and easy to figureout the controls. fast paced and very addictive, fun for the whole family.

the only problem i had was that there is alot going on at once and its hard to keep track of every thing but other than that its worth trying

This is the worst game I have ever played. And I've played PONG!

This game could have been released on the megadrive or SNES why it was released on the Wii the fantastic next gen console is beyond me.

It's hard to believe that a Wii game could be sooooo bad.
