Great that this series has finally made it to DVD. Great episodes all perfectly performed by Yootha Joyce & Brian Murphy. Great comic timing.- Was this review helpful to you?

the dogs dangly bits
By campfreddie (2 reviews) from sheffield , 19 Feb 2007The comic timing between george and mildred is superb, just watch this sitcom for the facial expressions on georges face, some great one liners leave this much underated comedy pissing on some of the pathetic modern comedy drival like MY FAMILY and that other load of bollocks with dawn french.look and learn pussies bring back the great unpolitically correct comedies like LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR,ON THE BUSES,RISING DAMP,MIND YOUR LANGUAGE,IT AINT HALF HOT MUM,TILL DEATH US DO PART,STEPTOE AND SON all of these comedies watched by 15 million plus viewers a week in there day nuff said- Was this review helpful to you?

Takes one Back
By a customer from Yorkshire , 14 Aug 2006I found that george and Mildred, took me back to the time when tv was good to watch, the gentle fun, the jokes all in step with the time it was around,I think if more like this was relised viewing would be much improved.- Was this review helpful to you?

Old but still good
By Cliff from Nottingham , 07 Apr 2006Remembering this from the 70's and having rented series one,and loved it, i decided to give series two a whirl. Still far superior to anything 'comical' today, George and Mildred series two is starting to get a little tired. Possibily running out of jokes and storyline. There are still some very funny moments. I particulary liked the visit to marriage guidance episode. Don't think i will be renting series three, but give one and two a go by all means.- Was this review helpful to you?
