Gerard Depardieu - Screen Icons Collections -Tous Les Matins Du Monde

The winner of seven French Oscars, Tous Les Matins Du Monde is a passionate, exquisitely photographed film based on the real-life 17th-century composers Sainte Colombe and Marin Marais. The aged Marais looks back on his apprenticeship with the master of the viola da gamba, Sainte Colombe. Conflict arises between teacher and pupil when the young Marais is seduced away from the ideals of the ascetic Sainte Colombe by the glamour of the Grand SiƩcle Royal Court. Anne Brochet also stars as Sainte Colombe's beautiful and talented daughter, who is caught between her father's ideals and her love for Marais.
