I know that nowadays, audiences such as ours are used to the MTV like editiing and fast paced storylines but I really do believe there are those out there which are still able to watch film and not just dismiss it due to lack of explosions in it.

Saying that, I think 'Gerry' although a beautiful film to watch, does have some real problems with it. The story for one could be told in half an hour alone, which is still ok, if it wasn't for the fact that the journey the characters take is full of much dialogue, just many shots of beautiful landscape. It just worries me that with the friendship they have and the problems they are currently facing, they would use the time to talk and sort them out.

The other thing which really stressed me out was the fact that these two charcaters were so stupid enough to lose their car in the first place. At the start of the film they seem like to intelligent blokes, all of a sudden they are out in the desert without so uch as a map and a compass......idiots. Obviously by then I had lost any sympathy for them.

This was an annoying film!! It's entirley up to you if you want to see it, but could seriously do something better with your time.

About the reviewer: JustAFanTC

I LOVE Films!! I have studied them, watch them over and over again, queued up for hours to see them, I talked about them, Blogged about them, reviewed them, dreamt about them and slept.......ahem......Let's just say I like them alot!! I will try not to include spoilers in anything I review - What's the point? Any reasons for disliking a film are totally reasonable and I realise everyone is entitled to their views - even me!!
