Carter masterclass in filmaking
By cgbdirect (1 review) , 14 Sep 2012Classic and great-British film making at it's best-brilliant score, a crafted Hodges masterpiece. Period detail never ages, film noir with a 70s slant. Film stands repeated viewings-still gritty dark and edgy-nothign glam or Hollywood here- Was this review helpful to you?

Iconic film? It's dated badly...
By a customer from OXON , 02 Jul 2012In theory, I should have really enjoyed this film. Michael Caine, classic cars... What's not to like? Well, the sound for one. Turned up to max but it's like it's been recorded through a pillow. All muffled. The acting is pretty hammy too. Really disappointed with this one.- Was this review helpful to you?
