Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) gets things done. The ambitious 24-year-old has been given a career-making assignment. His mission: Fly to London and escort a rock god to L.A.'s world famous Greek Theatre for the first-stop on a huge comeback tour. His record mogul boss, Sergio Roma (Sean Combs), gives him one warning: "The artist is the worst person on Earth. Turn your back on him at your own peril." British Rocker Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) is a brilliant musician, but due to a bad break up and nose-diving career, has fallen off the wagon and is now a drunken disaster. Weary of "yes men" and scared he's entering the "greatest hits" moment in his career, Snow's in the midst of a nihilistic downward spiral. When he learns his true love, model/pop star Jackie Q (Rose Byrne), is in L.A., Aldous makes it his quest to win her back... right before kick-starting his world domination. As the countdown to the concert begins, one innocent young man must navigate a minefield of London drug smuggling, New York City brawls and Vegas lap dances to deliver his charge safe and, sort of, sound...all while trying to remain faithful to his med student girlfriend (Elizabeth Moss). He may have to coax, lie to, enable and party with Aldous, but Aaron will get him to the Greek.

Absolutely hilarious

Absolutely hilarious!! I don't think i've laughed that hard at any film. Russell Brand is so funny. I recommend this to anyone with a sense of humour.

Yes, I know lots of people are writing good reviews, and saying people who give it one star need to get a life. Well, just for the record, I have a life, and apparently have good taste in films too. This one, however, doesn't even deserve one star in my opinion. The first 15 minutes were filled with occasional good laughs trying painfully to compete with a wash of gratuitous filth that wasn't funny. I tried to like it - honest, I did - but I just couldn't manage it. When it was obvious it wasn't going to get any better than formulaic drivel passing for comedy, I turned it off and watched something intelligent instead. Sorry!

This is a poor film, not a patch on forgetting Sarah Marshall which these to are in. Poor jokes and story line, waste of a rental.

A Must See For Anyone!

What a film... seriously just watch it. No words can give it enough credit. Reference to Forgetting Sarah Marshall (another great film) kind of like a follow on from that but just looking at Aldous' side. Weird giving Jonah a new character name yet keeping Russels but apart from that the characers, story, songs... everything is brilliant. A must see for anyone!
