Get Rich By Exploitin' Your Young Fans
By madsen from Worcs , 02 May 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
This has to be the biggest load of toss I've had the misfortune to see!
Those of you hoping to see an ego-tastic shoot-out with mumbling for acting and a plot that never starts will love this - we can only hope that he's now so rich that he never has to make another movie and force his inexcrable "acting" skills on the public again!

Good film even for a "fiddy" hater.
By Decy- (1 review) , 26 Jun 2011I have put myself of watching this film for a while. I do not like 50 cent or his music but this film was a suprisingly good watch, no matter how over exxargerated the plot was... All in all, it was a good watch and would recomend it to people.- Was this review helpful to you?

A Proper Review
By YoungEgoMKS (1 review) , 15 Jun 2011Its a tale of adverisity, companionship and the will to make a better life. Its a film that you can definitley take morals out of, and substitute them into your own life.
Obviously there will be bits of story added in and changed here and there. But what do we expect, the reality of it is far from the sort of things that we like to see in our movie theatres. Although i like how it is based around a true story, it gives it a more authentic feel. I finished that movie with an immense admiration for 50 Cent and what he does.
It also encourages kids to stay off the streets, inspiring them to make a better life for themselves and their families by following different roads.
In conclusion, i found the plot to be interesting, inspiring and exciting. The acting could have been better when looking back, but its his first movie, what do you expect? and besides, i felt like i was immersed into the story enough that the acting all seemed of a very high quality when watching the film.
All in all a very moving and overall, well-made movie.

Pleasantly Suprised
By AFM (12 reviews) from UK , 03 Jun 2011I watched this on the streaming service and was pleasanntly suprisded. This movie portrays the brutality of gang war very vividly and is a much better film than the title suggests. Of course the presence of a director like Jim Sheridan and acting talent like Terrence Howard gives this picture added credibility. Certainly worth a rent. As a side note I don't know why IMDB voters hate this so much 4.1/10 is unbelievably low, this film is by no means great, but still a good 6/10 atleast- Was this review helpful to you?

A good (if slightly exaggerated) tale
By sdfilm (125 reviews) from Oxon , 11 Apr 2011I thought this was actually pretty good. It was hard to watch at times because of the nature of the story, but the acting was good and it wasn't as self involved as I thought it would be. 50 cent can actually act pretty well considering it's just a side line for him. There are some really good performances from some of the supporting cast too (including Hustle's Ashley Walters).- Was this review helpful to you?
