Even if you haven't seen Get Smart I think you'd enjoy this. Miles better than a lot of stuff that makes the cinema. Should give the two of them their own TV series. Extras excellent.
If you have seen the 'Get Smart' film, this is a side story featuring the two techy nerds Bruce and Lloyd. They have designed an invisibility cloak which (surprise, surprise) is stolen during an office party. Brilliant idea, particularly if you consider that everyone at the party will be too s**t faced to notice it is missing. Ultimately, the penny drops and this is where the plot intertwines with the 'Get Smart' movie. Do you recall the 'control' HQ being attacked?. This side story picks up from there.
Bruce and Lloyd are recruited to find the missing gadget. On the way, they help each other to improve their social skills (particularly with women) and one manages to bag himself an odd-ball girlfriend.
It is a likeable film, which focuses on the social ineptitude and aspirations of these two geeks, who eventually manage to save the day, all thanks to their high IQ. It goes to show (and listen up ladies) - you dont need to be a hot-shot James Bond type to be a hero.
