fond memories (almost) ring true
By a customer from London , 04 Oct 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
First off let me state, this is much better than the recent film. However my childhood memories of watching repeats of the reruns of the reruns, were a little more polite than if now had been my first viewing. Rent it, you will laugh out loud, and often. It is just not as hilarious (mainly due to some major pillaging by the likes of Austin Powers) as it was many years back.- Was this review helpful to you?

Get laughs
By MartyG (3 reviews) from Worksop , 10 Oct 2009I grew up watching this. I never found the opening sequence that understandable but (leaving that to one side) the episodes are hilarious - or would you believe just funny? There are some real laugh out loud moments. The only repetitively annoying scene is the trapping of the nose in doors.- Was this review helpful to you?

still brilliant!
By a customer from London , 03 Sep 2009This series is still providing freat fun for the whole family. Mu children love it and myself could'nt stop laughing because of the great gags! Don Adams was 'the' agent 86, as Barbara Feldon was indeed the best '99'. The Chief is also memorable, he had a great chemistry with 86 and together helped to create this fantastic classic. After watching the new movie, you notice the difference on quality: the 'old' Maxwell Smart was truly funny, something that, I'm afraid, can't be ssif sbout the new version.
In short: a fantastic opportunity to have fun and show your children something that you used to enjoy decades ago..and still going strong!- Was this review helpful to you?

So Funny
By Chantal (1106 reviews) from London , 09 Apr 2009Despite the age of this serie, it made me laugh a lot. It actually adds to the experience. THey invented everything in this serie and some of the technology are now even true!- Was this review helpful to you?
