Poor remake of C'etait un rendezvous

Don't get me wrong the action in this film is great - just imagine the idea of racing round the roads in a high performance car at night going as fast as possible.
My only problem with it is that the first of this type was C'etait un rendezvous and even though the filming was of a poorer quality it was better.
Nice to see features on car reviews though, plus the mandatory sexy lady!- Was this review helpful to you?

(5)Boring - Dull!!!!
By Wilf81 (40 reviews) , 26 Apr 2011This is a story of a woman, fifty, and a chap in his early forties. This woman enraptured this man, made him feel sixteen again. He thought, I'm going to wear a T-shirt with Crowded House written on the front of it. He thought, yes, I will buy that copy of Punch magazine. But then, she committed a gross act upon his person, which was tantamount to vandalism, and he realised that not only must they part company but that he must also sack her from her job as his receptionist. I didn't mention that earlier, but part of the problem was that she did work for him and he had to sack her anyway. Anyway, he thanks her for that stolen afternoon, but even then it was stolen. It's not your property, love. You've got to give it back. So just to re-emphasise one more time, her contract has been terminated. This is Hot Chocolate, It Started With A Kiss. [Music starts] In three minutes time I'll be talking to Norfolk's youngest butcher.- Was this review helpful to you?

15 minutes of Mr X driving around what are fairly clear roads in a Mazda RX7. I was looking forward to the RX7 as I'm a big fan of them, but this one sounded dull. Yes, he drives at a fairly high speed, but there is no excitement, no police chases and seemingly no danger. At one point he does a pointless full circle of a roundabout, which would have been a great opportunity to spice things up with a nice drift (it is an RX7 after all!), but sadly no such thing.
After this section you get the whole thing all over again with a commentary telling you all about Stockholm. Great!
There rest of the 'movie' is padded out with some pointless reviews of a few modded cars and ages of random clips of stunts and circuit racing etc.
Even the voluptous Swedish ladies never get their kit off!
They use a hook line - 'Reality is far better than fiction'. Sadly, in this case it is not.- Was this review helpful to you?
