The investigations of the anit-cybercrime and terrorism outfit Section 9 as well as its primary members - android Motoko Kusanagi, cybernetically enhanced Batou, and skilled policeman Togusa - continue in GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX VOLUME SIX. Like the famous Animé films the series is based on, STAND ALONE COMPLEX combines handsome animation, both traditional and computer-generated, to juxtapose an exploration of the philosophical effects of high technology with exciting action sequences. This volume features episodes 21-23 of the series. In them, Section 9 comes under two threats one from a rival Special Forces unit equipped with a new armoured uniform and the other, from their old nemesis, the cybercriminal Laughing Man.
