What could have been an entertaining romp was reduced to a poor film with a dire plot and serious charcter flaws. Cage seemed to be running on auto pilot and Mendes seems to be here just for the eye candy.
NIcolas Cage seems to be making worse and worse films, usually at the strat i can tell if i am going to enjoy a film and i thought this looked visually good and was going to be fun to watch - i slept through key moments and had no desire to rewind. Visually very good but the story and acting is very mediocre - it sets it self up for a sequel - i hope that they do not take up the option.
