Marmite AnyoneBy manfromtherock (13 reviews) from London , 23 Jan 2009You're either going to love or hate this film, there is no in between. For those without a sentimental side then they would be best to avoid this one, but to the others you will sit spellbound.
Yes it can be a little cheesy at times, but the pure mixture of romance, comedy & tear-jerking sadness will give you a glad-all-over feeling once you've watched it. The special effects are 90's & it shows, but the performances of Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore & Whoopi Goldberg take this movie a step above the rest of films in this gender.
I'm not sure if Demi Moore ever produced anything as good again, but who cares, she did this one & the Pottery Wheel scene has been seen the world over & even tried out by a few people no doubt, it certainly made 'Unchained Melody' a hit.
I would recommend this one for a cozy night in with your partner, with the lights down low, a glass of something special & a box of tissues.
This film wasBy a customer from Tonbridge , 08 Jan 2009this film was very emotional and loved Patrick Swazye's acting and Whoobi Goldberg was so funny. Very romantic and sad storyline but i couldn't watch the violent bits of the film as i don't like horror or scary films. Thought the ending was very sad. Great acting.
