Ghostbusters 2, The discovery of a massive river of ectoplasm and a resurgence of spectral activity allows the staff of Ghostbusters to revive the business. Bill Murray and the gang are back for this super sequel.
If you loved Ghostbusters, if you had the glow in the dark sweatshirt, if you remember the song, if you remember the cartoon, if you remember Bill Murray before anyone thought he would be up for academy awards, if you want to get all soggy with nostalgia this is the movie for you.
The plot is pretty flimsy in that way they could be in the 80s and nobody noticed, but it retains a good percentage of the humour of the first movie. All in all, not bad for a sequel, but be warned, if you have young children watching a) there are a few frightening scenes and b) they will not be at all impressed with the special effects.
Sigourney Weaver has pulled out of the second Ghostbusters sequel. The actress was reported to be joining former co-stars Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in a spooky new movie, 20 years after Ghostbusters II - but she insists she isn't part of producers' plans.
