Teasing but hard to watchBy RustyJames from London , 09 Feb 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]If you can muster some pity for poor Gia Carangi, an early 80's supermodel who had a troubled short life, then you may enjoy this film.
Angelina Jolie appears naked... often. This does not make the script any better, but makes the film more watchable.
A perfect film to score for any music fan. Sadly the soundtrack is by far the greatest let down. No classic recordings and a poor synthesizer piece floating throughout. Feels like a made-for-TV movie.
If you are not an Angelina Jolie fan leave this alone.

Tragic storyBy a customer from Purley, Surrey , 15 Dec 2011I found this a difficult one to give a star rating. I couldn't relate to the central character or the byte sized layout of the talking heads in the beginning. Boring boring. However, it got better as it progress and in the end moved from a 'one star' feeling to a 'three star' one. Tragic story, a warning to all kids on drugs or looking to hitch a ride in the fantasy world of fame. Very well acted by Angeline Jolie. For those with a saucy outlook it's notable for some splendid views of her in the buff, but the story itself is no laughing matter.
Without Angelina it would be poor.By BUBBLES1972 (35 reviews) from Bridgend , 06 Aug 2011Angelina is superb playing Gia a very complex lady. I thought the movie was good and told a very sad tale.
clever and entertaining not to be watched by tunnel visionersBy a customer , 03 May 2011An intelligent adaption potraying GIA as she was incredibly well excavated an exceptional film/documentary though i would not recommend this to others that look for the fiction within a film instead of reality
A very thought provoking film, beautifully acted by Ms JolieBy sarasmilesalot (1 review) , 02 May 2011This film certainly shows the darker side of the modelling industry. It was a very powerful film and Angelina Jolie gave a very moving performance
Really enjoyableBy jevo90 (8 reviews) from Southampton , 02 Apr 2011Just watched this film and it was really good, would definitely recommend it, I think Angelina Jolie is an amazing actress and this is possibly the best film I've ever seen her in. Definitely worth the watch!
