Not as bad as it could've beenBy Zoe from Essex , 29 Apr 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]After the caning this got in the press I was expecting major pants. It wasn't that bad. All the hype about the lack of chemistry between Jen & Ben, well she was supposed to be a lesbian so maybe the lack of chemistry was intentional? Don't know, but if you're looking for a really really bad movie for a laugh I suggest Swept Away. Trust me, Swept Away makes this movie look like Oscar material.

Unfunny rom-com.By Nitaray (222 reviews) from Farnham , 28 Oct 2011Somehow ordered this by mistake, having already seen it a few years ago. So double trouble for me.
Nevertheless I watched it, and the kindest things I can think of to say is that Ben Affleck is a much better actor now than he was in this film, where he is cast as a small-time gangster, a role for which he is totally unfitted.
Unless you want to watch Ben flex his muscles, Jen doing Yoga, and Ben and Jen making out, I'd advise giving it a miss.
Not as bas as I thoughtBy gianino (648 reviews) from London , 22 Oct 2011I heard this was one of the worst movies ever but it's not as bad as thought for few reasons: Ben Affleck is so fit in here that I'd love to bite him & he is quite good in his part as well, J Lo is good as well in her part & a very hot girl, Justin Bartha is incredible, very convincing & seriously good & few bits are hilarious... However, the worst bits are: Al Pacino & Christopher Walken are awful & the plot is WTF!! Who wrote this shait? Seriously it doesn't make any sense what so freaking ever! So if you r a straight man watch mainly cox J Lo is hot & if you are a gay guy or a girl what it cox Mr Affleck is sexxxxxxxyyyy!!!!!!
TeerribleBy a customer from Wales , 04 Oct 2010I have never watched a film where the writer of a film couldn't find any adjectives apart from Anglo Saxon ones. I gave up about 20 minutes into the film - I had to stop watching it because of all the swear words. I'm no prude and don't mimd a few, but in this film they were used almost every other word. Dreadful film!
Legend In The MakingBy a customer from Edinburgh , 29 Jul 2010You have to wonder how Hollywood can come up with something as desperate as this. The script is terrible, and Lopez and Affleck both display the acting ability and charisma of a fridge. Without doubt this will acquire cult status in years to come; viewers will fall about laughing at it, for all the wrong reasons!
OptimistBy shade (6 reviews) from London , 12 Feb 2010I loved this film and anyone who discounts it because of its low rating is missing out on some very entertaining stuff? (scenes) it was worth watching if only to see the look on Ben Affleck's face as he watches JLo doing her floor exercises. If he was not completely in love with her at the time then he is one hell of a good actor (well that's a given).
