    [Highly rated reviewer]

Oh my god this film is awful. I've watched the previous 2 Goal films and enjoyed the story of Santiago Munez's rise to fame. However why on earth did the writers decide to sideline this story and focus on two pointless characters and forget the previous story sounding the original character.

This was so painful to watch and i will never get the 2 hours wasted on this movie back, no wonder it went straight to DVD. If you've watched the previous 2, don't waste your time on this one, your be severly disappointed.

Plus the special effects to intergrate the fictional characters into the football games was worse than ever.

I watched both Goals 1 and 2 which had great storylines regarding santiago numez's rise to fame as a young mexican lad coming to the uk faor a trial at Newcastle UTD then onto Real Madrid. I thought this would have been a continuation on from where the goals 2 ended when santiago and his wife(Anna Friel) split up, but the story jumped onto two England players getting picked for the world cup. It was not really Goals 3 as it was a totally different story. BIG LET DOWN.

Forget the fact that this has nothing to do with the first 2 films (other than you see Santiago about 3 times), this is all round a shockingly bad film.

The story is pointless, you end up not caring about any of the new characters and then you have the predictable happy ever after ending.

Avoid this film at all costs, especially if you watched and enjoyed the first two films.

Not sure why this film is called Goal 3, it does not follow up on the story in Goal 2. Was looking forward to finding out what happened next for Santiago and his pregnant girlfriend but I guess we will never know. Very disappointing.

I was severely disappointed with this, the third part of the trilogy, as I was so looking forward to what happened next after the cliffhanger at the end of Goal 2.

What happened was.... nothing. We never found out what happened to Santiago and his pregnant girlfriend, or any of the other characters for that matter.

I feel robbed as we all now have no idea how the story ends, after two cracking first films.

Can someone please come along and erase this one, remake it how it should have been, and put us all out of our misery!
