LOVEFiLM Review
-
By Tom Charity from LOVEFiLM
When Santiago Munez (Kuno Becker) crossed the Mexican border into America at the age of 10, he had two things in his possession: his soccer ball and a tattered picture of the World Cup.

Scorchio!!
By Gareth Sutcliffe from Oldham, England , 16 Mar 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
There are three main reasons I liked this film. 1. Excessive amounts of Oasis Music. 2. Sweet cameo's from the world of football. 3. Igor Biscan scores for Liverpool from a corner. This film is pleasant. Fact.- Was this review helpful to you?

(191)Great boy's film
By KsteB (5 reviews) from Esher , 25 Sep 2011This was much better than I expected it to be. My 10-year-old loved it. Had all he wanted - footfall and a storyline!- Was this review helpful to you?

Very enjoyable
By a customer from Northern Ireland , 05 Jun 2010Excellent film, personally I'm not keen on football, but this I enjoyed. Was predictable at times but a very easy to watch enjoyable bit of entertainment,- Was this review helpful to you?

Solid but uninspiring
By Jammy74 (67 reviews) from Felixstowe, UK , 16 Feb 2010Sport-based movies can be a tricky proposition. Done well, they can be thrilling entertainment . Or they just be very, very silly. Goal! mostly falls between the two.
Although the movie works well enough, it's a little too earnest. Santiago's rise is pretty sudden and before you know it he has reached the top with Newcastle(!). The football is well handled, better than a number of other football-based movies. The performances generally are OK but then there isn't much for the actors to work with.
Goal! is alright, it does its job. Like a holding midfielder it is solid and dependable, but not very exciting.- Was this review helpful to you?

goal
By rababab (132 reviews) from Glasgow , 17 Dec 2009this film is brilliant, the storyline is fantastic, its about (santiago munez)who keeps peoples gardens tidy in spain ,its his dads buisness, but since this boy munez was young all he wants to do is play football, not cut grass and hedges, hes spotted playing football by a scottish guy,(this boy is a geniuse with the ball).so he gets his chance of playing in the english premiere, with newcastle united, now this is santiagos chance to make it BIG,so youl have to rent it out to no the rest of it,its really funny too.,,,,,,goal 2 and goal 3 have not even got anything similar to GOAL,- Was this review helpful to you?
