The eternal struggle between good and evil is the subject for this animated series. However God and the devil have a plan: one man will be given a chance to prove whether or not mankind is worth saving. But there's just one catch... The Devil gets to pick him. Enter Bob - An ill-tempered, melodramatic, paranoid icon of mediocrity. Caught between the forces of divinity and deviance, with the weight of the world on his shoulders, there's nothing left to do but laugh.

I first saw this when it appeared on BBC2 about 5 years ago and have waited patiently for it to appear on DVD since. Still only available on region 1, it is well worth buying or renting if you like your humour dry and understated. Denounced by the religious right in America it only lasted 3 episodes before being taken off air, this series is actually a very clever examination of some of the trickier aspects of Christianity... or just very funny if you want to switch off your brain and watch an animated sitcom.
