The Godfather gets a complete makeover and has never looked better . Grain is apparent throughout the film so don't expect a shiny new version just because it's a blu ray. Colours look great and the daylight scenes are particularly clear and sharp. Some scenes have significant grain which don't look that good but this was probably due to the quality of the original master rather than a dodgy transfer. Well worth a rental, and even a purchase.
Have to agree with other reviewers, the film is great, an all time classic, but don't expect anything extra special from the BLURAY version - colours are maybe a touch brighter, but grain is apparent, more so than on a DVD version.
