Don't waste time and money
The movie is a let down on all the levels. Excruciatingly boring, I was fighting desire to sleep, very slow and the plot doesn't make any sense.
And the worst of it, noone ever tells you that the movie is not completed, so that you would have to come again to pay again to see the end of this nonsense. After 2 hours of boredom they don't even tell you what the 'dust' is.
What a joke! Movie makers don't have any respect for audience any more. Anything would do to get money. -

Not bad.
I found the film enjoyable and could see this as a great kids film. It has a great concept and story behind BUT this films relies heavily on a sequel being made, and due to it doing so bad in the states it's not going to happen, so I really wouldn't advise watching it if your going to get involved in the story line but just watch it for the action and the idea of the 'demons'

Fantasy epic The Golden Compass has stayed at the top of the UK box office chart for another week, suggesting that the film might be just as popular as the books on which it is based. Starring Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman, The Golden Compass has now taken more than £12.2 million in ticket sales, according to AC Nielsen.
