Armed with his license to kill, James Bond (Agent 007) races to Russia in search of the stolen access codes for GoldenEye, an awesome space weapon that can fire a devastating electromagnetic pulse toward the Earth. However, Bond is up against an enemy who anticipates his every move: Alec Trevelyan, a.k.a. Agent 006, a mastermind motivated by years of simmering hatred. As Bond squares off against his former compatriot, he also battles Trevelyan's stunning ally, Xenia Onatopp, an assassin who uses pleasure as her ultimate weapon. When the horrifying extent of Trevelyan's plans is revealed, Bond must call upon his sharp wits and killer instincts in a deadly confrontation. From a destructive tank chase through the streets of St. Petersburg to the treacherous Cuban jungle, Bond finds himself playing a cat-and-mouse game to the finish.

When “M” says to James Bond, “I think you're a sexist, misogynist dinosaur, a relic of the Cold War,” who can disagree? To ram home the point, “M” is played by a woman (Judi Dench) and a key scene is set in a Russian park that is now a dumping ground for statues of redundant communist heroes. However, Pierce Brosnan, on his first mission as 007, quickly establishes himself as the best Bond since Sean Connery and makes a fetish out of the old-fashioned values of loyalty and patriotism. There isn't a proper villain, but director Martin Campbell does provide a stunning chase between car and tank through the streets of St Petersburg. There are also splendid Bond girls, including Izabella Scorupco and feisty Famke Janssen, who kills by crushing her victims between her thighs.

My favorite bond film. It's worth watching just for the race between the Aston Martin DB5 and the Ferrari 355.

The is plenty of action to keep you happy, some parts are a little far fetched but aren't all bond films.

Pattinson not working on Pedrero film

    • 02 Sep 2009

Twilight actor Robert Pattinson has dismissed reports he's lending a helping hand to movie stuntman Peter Pedrero for his directorial debut, insisting he has nothing to do with Vauxhall Crossed. The Hollywood hunk was alleged to be joining singer/actress Dannii Minogue and The Full Monty star Hugo Speer in Pedrero's new spy film. But Pattinson is baffled by the claims - because he hasn't signed up for anything with his two-time Harry Potter pal, according to GossipCop.com. Asked whether... Read more
