Best Bond movie
By Richyroo from Suffolk , 24 Aug 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
The best Bond movie ever made. It was the first of the James Bond films to feature a plethora of gadgets, most of which are fitted to his Aston Martin DB5 which he uses in a spectacular car chase scene.
On top of that, who can forget the remarkable Honor Blackman as 'Pussy Galore' and Oddjob with his lethal bowler hat?
And then there are those classic lines that stick with you forever...
"You expect me to talk?"
"No Mr.Bond...I expect you to die!"
Classic stuff.- Was this review helpful to you?

(40)No..I expect you to die Mr.Bond!
By oJo (29 reviews) from Hemel Hempstead , 02 Mar 2013Now in glorious blu-ray this is a must see for any Bond fan. Not too over the top with special effects and some wonderful tongue in cheek lines from Connery make this one of the most enjoyable outings for Bond. Still love that sound of the Aston. If only!..- Was this review helpful to you?

The Gold standard on Bond movies
By Bobsview (554 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 08 Feb 20131964 James Bond Drama. Absolutely ground breaking Bond that set the Gold standard for the next 42 years until Casino Royale. Until 2006 Goldfinger was the best Bond movie of all time . Great villain, and the introduction of the immortalized Aston Martin, and who can forget Miss Galore who turns out to be a goody, and the model of Fort Knox. And of course the girl killed by spraying her gold. If you never seen it-do not pass go-go and watch it immediately.- Was this review helpful to you?

No Mr.Bond, I expect you to die!
By Bassman71 (619 reviews) from Didsbury, England , 07 Dec 2010007's third outing, Evil Genius plans to make Fort Knox gold radioactive, price of his gold will sky rocket, Bond has other ideas.
Very iconic but slightly daft Bond this time. Connery has never looked better & even now uses the one liners after some grisly moments & making use of top notch gadgets including the wonderful Aston Martin DB5 with oil slick, guns & ejector seat.
Gert Frobe puts in a good turn as Goldfinger complete with evil henchman Oddjob however I didn't think the Bond girls were as sexy as the earlier films despite Shirley Eaton's all-gold paint job.
Action scenes in this are a bit silly with a lot of the film speeded up & some truly awful acting when people are shot or killed.
Great opening song though with Shirley Bassey giving it her all.- Was this review helpful to you?
