Olivia De Havilland, star of Gone With The Wind, is to be honoured with an Academy Tribute. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the body that hands out the Oscars, is to honour De Havilland, now 89 years old, with a special evening at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre including clips from her best performances and discussion with colleagues from throughout her career. The inaugural DVD Critics Awards, co-ordinated by Home Media Retailing magazine, the Hollywood Reporter and The Digital Entertainment Group, were held in the US yesterday. The awards honour the best DVD titles from 2004, and the Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh classic Gone With the Wind picked up the Best of Show award for its comprehensive four-disc DVD. Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn - and neither should he, given Clark Gable is in the most watched film ever. The American civil war epic Gone with the Wind, where Gable utters his famous line to Vivien Leigh, came out top in the British Film Institute's review of ticket sales.
