I really enjoyed this film! Not too scary but exciting and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Ending was not too predictable which is always a plus. I think this is definitely worth a watch.

Great film that had plenty of suspense & kept me on the edge of my seat. Wasn't scared as such but found it quite disturbing & full of suspense

I don’t think this was based on a true story, Perhaps if it were, I could forgive this film for being the turd that it is!! For the first two acts it felt quite interesting, quirky characters etc. Almost like a David Lynch movie, is she mental? Is anyone real? I was expecting a major twist at the end because no film could be this stupid? This one is! Every backwards cliché character, every stupid plot hole and every cliché ridden backwards plot hole character are right here! There are some good actors in this movie, What the F#ck went so wrong?

Gone won't win any awards for acting (not always a bad thing) but as far as suspense thrillers go it's not actually that bad but not great either. Think TV movie rather than Box Office epic when making your selection. Amanda Seigfried (Red Riding Hood and Mama Mia) in the lead role is very much key to this film having any real impetus and makes up to some exent for the rather weak acting of the supporting cast. Wes Bentley (Hunger Games) and Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter) both seem to bring little to the overal production but maybe that's more lack of good direction rather than acting talent. I don't get the feeling that Heitor Dahlia has really made the best of the acting talent available but the directing is not helped by a pretty weak plot line and even weaker script. There appears to be on the face of it potential for several sub plots to develop in the movie, but none really happen in fact they seem to be rather pointless. The ending when it arrives sort of just happens because the film needs to draw to end rather than any other reason it is all a 'bit predictable'. If you follow the film closely enough the 'twist' won't exactly shock you and it could have been done so much better than it was. Don't worry you won't have to watch this film that intently to get the plot....Its pretty much a tried or maybe that should be tired and tested formula with a predicatable twist. If you like a thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat or want frightening half to death this isn't the right movie for you. But if you like a half decent film for a week day night this will probably tick most of the boxes. Some of the directing leaves a bit to be desired and several opportunities to build this movies appeal are missed as a result this brings little that can't be found in many other TV movies and even Cop programs on main stream TV. I feel a more suspensive sound track could have made the whole thing just a bit more gripping even with Dolby Digital and the sub woofer turned up a notch nothing managed to even create a stir leave alone a frightening moment.
