We suffered so you don't have to...

Gone is right, most of the audience had 'gone' after half an hour, and mercifully the rest of it only lasted another 58 minutes. So after an hour and 28 minutes what did we think ? There is absolutely nothing new to be seen here, it has a very very samey plot that is as thin as the latest catwalk queen, we question how things as samey as this ever get released at all. Having said thet the performances are adequate, its just whoever writes this stuff should be scripting lunchtime soaps on some obscure digi-tv channel... Yes we assure you it WAS that dull. Not recommended.

    Have a bit of patience

After reading the other reviews I began to regret having added this film to my list, and we sat down expecting to have to turn off part way into the film. Yes, it was a bit slow to start with, but I found the acting and plot line convincing, and the sense of isolation and accumulating 'darkness' created by the scenery and the situation in which the characters found themselves, to be quite unnerving and very well done. If you want a film with bells and whistles, then this is not for you, but if you want realism, then this understated thriller is a good choice. Stick with it, I am pleased that I did.

    Great Performance

This has to be one of the greatest movies of all time, Why I hear you ask, well the reason is I am in it. I am a backpacker in Byron Bay seen walking past in the background with 2 girls. An oscar winning performance I reckon!

    One of the best

This is certainly one of the top psychological thrillers out there. The script is fluid and sensible enough that there's never the smallest moment when you question the reality of the characters. A really slickly written piece, with wonderfully altruistic performances from the two main characters and some sharp cinematography.

    Really, really, really good.

    Pointless

Did I miss something here? I don't get the point of this film at all. Why was it ever made? scarey, suspensful, surprising, tense and unpredictable........all words which don't describe this film.

Within the first view minutes, (right from the point the smarmy yank crawls into view) you know exactly where this is going and whats more, it gets there without any chills, mystery or tension. However I give it 2 stars as Amelia Warner is pretty cute.

    Your time is GONE!!

If I could possibly give this movie less than 0, I would. Scott M is a great actor, and plays his parts well (see Peaceful Warrior), but this movie is not his best work. And while Shaun is fantastic as the anxious boyfriend in this film, the sum of their talent does not lend to make this movie anywhere near to even being terrible. This movie is aptly titled when referring to the time you'll have spent watching it. Gone. It truly is time you'll never get back.

    Very Poor

This film has very little plot. It was slow to start and didnt pick up throughout the entire 1 and a half hr film everything happened in the final 5 minutes by which point you've lost the will to live and dont actually care what the outcome of characters fates are. Not worth recommending!!!

    Gone-Never to be seen

After waiting some time for this one to finally arrive-id forgotten why i added it to my rental queue in the first place!!

So after refreshing my memory, by reading other reviews already posted-i decided I wasn't even going to give this a chance.So- without our viewing it -i sent it promptly back.

On the otherhand-i sort of think my decision was perhaps a little hasty, and in the future i will at least give it a chance....

I've really enjoyed a few other films that were slated-The illusionist but to name one.

Personal taste-love it, hate it- watch it and see!
