A very moderate script assisted by excellent acting and the usual array of Neil Simon one-liners. Nothing at all new, but enjoyable.

    My all time favourite film

This is the film against which all other romantic comedies should be measured. Brilliant acting, whip crack repartee and one-liners which make you shout with laughter. The best of Simon, the best of Dreyfuss, the best of Mason and the first appearance of Richard the Third as Shakespeare never imagined him 'the world's first interior decorator and fruit fly' Utterly delightful, and long overdue release, me and my girlfriends can now replace our worn out video copies.

    Sweet but predictable!

This movie is great if you're looking for a feel good film, and is truly predictable, though that could be said about most romantic comedies I suppose! It is sweet and moving in parts, though I found it slightly unconvincing sometimes and Marsha Manson's role was a little too overemotional and neurotic. It's a sweet movie to cuddle up to or watch with the girls, but don't expect anything too challenging or believable.
