The Original film is one of my all time favorites that i have enjoyed since seeing it as a boy.
I was sceptical about this version but was surprised at how good it was. It sticks to the original story with the exception of Chips holiday he does not go to Switzerland in this version.
As an ex public school boy i find this film a fair representation of public school life that always has me in tears when the film reaches the period of WW1 and Chips latter years.
Clunes plays the part of Chips very well and i have no hesitation in recommending this film to you.
